I'm thinking of purchasing these but want to see a pic of where they go.

What are these? If they are the stock type looms I have them and can take pix. Not till monday tho as I am on my way to the cabin from work.

Nice car! Looks like a 4speed version of mine. Looks like the soloar red on yours is closer to the factory then mine too.

How do you like those those mufflers?

The looms in I saw in the pics look like what come with the plug wires. I was asking about the stock style looms that Ames sells under the number FN417J that bolt to the motor.

I have the looms now. 6 pieces. They come with instructions on where to mount.

From the picture on the sheet that was sent it looks like there is a block just under the valve cover abover the #1 and #7 exhaust manifold and the same with the other side on the #2 and #8. These blocks look to have a bolt hole for a 3/8 x 1/2 x 16 corse thread bolt.

Unfortuanately my 1971 #96 heads don't have all the block mounts shown on the sheet. They must have changed the head design after 1969.

I have two blocks on the passenger side for a AC bracket so I can use one of those. On the driver side it looks like I have one bracket above the #1 exhast but not in the back above the #7.

Looks like I will only get to use 4 of the 6.

Not stock or mine but they look good. May give you some ideas.

68tpls400 I dont want to highjack this thread but what is the bracket and switch (?) on the front DS of your carb used for? I see you have the th400 kickdown switch in back.

Step-up switch for idle.

Is that for A/C or something?

Not my engine but belongs to a friend of mine. I liked his looms and bought the same set at a local parts store. They are Mr. Gasket part #9880.
