Going on 2 years that my bird has been in body and paint. Finding myself cleaning the garage as many times as I could before wearing the broom out, and preparing for her return, I found myself Jonesing for a project. Found this one in a field behind a customers house and had to have it. It's a Speedex S14. They started production in 1959 in Ohio and were built until 1965. Not sure what I'll do with it now but "Speedy" kept my mind somewhat off of "Poncho" for a while. Has anyone else found themselves having a project "Jones"? What did you do?
Now that right there is cool! As far as myself Jonesing for a project... I have way too many things going on all the time!!! I have our '67 back in my garage now and doing a few upgrades and repairs to have it ready when the son comes home for Christmas. Hey, you do have some magazines to read, right? Cal
And, after decades I understand a slang word I never knew. I had to look up Jonesing. Now, I need to listen to that old Cheech and Chong record again to finally understand "Basketball Jones".
I can relate to your wait. I dropped my Firebird off for paint and some other work (subframe connectors, headliner and sun visors) in January of 2016. The work has actually been complete for the past year or so as I had it in storage at the shop until I got relocated and settled. My retirement in June, 2017 seemed to make the time go by even slower.
I got back into building model cars and binge watching reruns on the Velocity (now Motor Trend) network.

So I'm claiming it) Old projects, gone but not forgotten: 1967 FB 400, original CA car. After 22 years of work, trashed by the guy who was supposed to paint it. Thanks guys, you know when “speedy†was finished I realized that with a low gear ratio of 300 to 1, and 2nd gear not much taller, it’s top speed was 6.5 mph! Building her was fun but driving her left me still missing “Poncho!†I do, though, have some magazines to read. (Thanks Cal). Hey Jim, wasn’t Basket ball Jones Tyrone Shoelace’s first hit song? Lol.
