3-Speed Manual – Column Shift. Standard on Catalina, Executive and Bonneville, and on Grand Prix (with Strato-bench front seat). This versatile transmission performs exceptionally well at all speeds and under all normal driving conditions. Wide, helical-cut gears are fully synchronized for quiet, smooth shifting through all gear ranges. (See chart on page N-1)

3-Speed Manual – Floor Shift. Standard on Grand Prix and available at extra cost on Catalina, Executive and Bonneville. Floor console, standard in Grand Prix (with Strato-bucket seats), is optional at extra cost in Bonneville models equipped with optional, extra-cost bucket front seats. A new feature is the plunger-type, self-adjusting backup lamp switch that provides fast, positive operation of the backup lamps when shift lever is moved to reverse. 4-Speed Manual – Floor-mounted “Hurst-type” Shift. Optional at extra cost on Catalina, Executive, Bonneville and Grand Prix models equipped with the 428 cu. in. V-8 engine. This rugged, dependable 4-speed unit combines true “sports car” fell with unexcelled performance. All four forward gears are fully synchronized to permit smooth, quiet gear-shifting up and down while the car is in motion.
