Reinstalling the light turned out to be a piece of cake. I put the housing in place first and then worked in the lens until it went into place. I think it really helped to remove the 2 bolts that go thu the center of the trunk and loosen the 2 that go thru the bumper above the tag.
Our next project is to figure out why the inside courtesy lights stay on all the time. We have the fuse pulled as a temp fix. The good thing is that all of them work.
