you can use skins from your description! cost is about the same. you save in metal but pay for it in block and paint work. likewise you spend in metal and save in block and paint work. which can you afford now? skins are all you need if your description is correct! it will keep you out of the structural areas so you dont get into a hole you cant crawl out of! im doing the full rear half of my car and would god this route the next time i do this if i can. im doing both rear 1/4's trunk and wheelhouses. your probably going to need some trunk work if you were rear ended. ask your body guy what you need and where the damage is and chime back in here with the info.
