Any one have thoughts on what to start with and what NOT to do...
too many on both acc`ts...but , nice car...
just DO NOT buy OER dash pad for it !if you need dash fixed , send it to "Just Dashes" ,more money ,but well worth it!!
if it was a vert , I could come up with a few more Do Nots! since thats what I have..
I`d say get it running, check brakes ,steering, get new tires (if the current are over 10 yrs)...then slowly find out what it needs by driving it... I did a "running resto" on mine..drove it most of the time, had it in the shop a few short times...worst was 2 body shop trips to fix some rust and paint ( 2 14 day trips)... I did 1/2 the car ea time...first front half fenders ,hood etc, the next time doors ,trunk...did this on a friends recommendation (he`s a restorer) saying that if you have a good painter , he still will charge less for a 'repair' job than the re-paint...they are a little weary of classic car owners , know we are picky and usually charge a little more just for that...
