If you've never been through hard times you'll not know it takes a good deal of time to recover. I for one know, it took three + years for me to get back on my feet. And once on my feet then I made good on all the favors with interest.

If you give him some time I'm sure he'll make good. If not, some here have learned to trust less, and my judgment in character is slipping.
