That 302 Boss was a give-away. Restored clone with chinese parts make up 99.9% of all cars of that era. Origional paint in that condition? You cannot buy this; instead, you must find it, and it's a one in a lifetime opportunity, the reason I was shocked that they gave it away. They didn't have the right crowd.
The ones I liked was the dodge van with something like 16k on the clock, a work truck, and the Brittish car, the Metro or whatever it was. The dodge van had a code plate down on the sill, with "idiot" showing his total lack of mechanical aptitude. He mentioned about the scruffs on the plate. The problem is that it takes at least 100,000 to 200,000 + 16k to bark up the plate like that.
Idiot did just as well with the metro, or whatever brittish car, with 30 whatver miles and all original: It had a pair of hokey looking carbs on the side. The problem is that they didn't have breathers because they wouldn't clear the hood. Excuse me? This is factory? I worked on lots of Brittish cars, and there is some mickey mouse stuff on them--I could make a list, but I'm getting ready to tearass from work. The issue is that brittions are very fussy about mechanical design, and there is no way in hell that they would have designed the car and not allowed room for air breathers.
The best one was last night when Idiot was rolling around on a red buick ragtop. If I were an offical, I would have screamed out "who t/f do you think you are? Get your @$$ of that car!" And I would have booted hisass out of there so quick his head would have been spining.
An expert rolling around on the top of a fender? Incredible!
