Good point and I can verify it by my original 2nd generation 4 speed car. The M21 designation for that car is a Borg Warner T-10 transmission. What I didn't realized was the Saginaw transmission had a similar occurance. It must be considered an M20. Which makes perfect sense because the 'M' designation was specifically for gearing, not manufacturer.
