Good thoughts. I just tried the adapter and it's fine, I'm pretty sure the bearings are in right since it runs well, and isn't hard to turn over. I think I remeber putting the oil pump gasket in.... not sure.

What's an oil galley? Also, can you tell me specifically where they both are? How far should I tear it the engine down to get to therm? Just wondering if I still need to pull the engine to check them.
