Firebob and Fbody69, thanks for your responses. This solves the mystery. This car came from the factory as a Muncie 4-speed 350HO. At some point in it's life it was converted to an automatic. Prior owner put back in the Muncie. I found the backup light switch on the bottom of the steering column but the area does not turn and has no provision for a pin, at least from what I can see. My guess is that the steering column must then have been replaced as this must be an column from an automatic. I'm going to use the reverse plate and switch from Hurst and then connect the wires to the power connector for the switch on the column. Appreciate your help. John
