The factory air on my '68 was the worse piece of equipment on the car as I drove it daily from '69 to '82. It never cooled the car and was broken regularly. There is nothing on mine that was serviced more than the AC. First, being a convert with a black top, it never made the car cool if the sun was out. Second, I have a stack of GM Service records that show the number of repairs over those years.
