Hi all. I'm new to the forum. A little aggrevated. Been working on the firebird all week trying to get this rear end changed. Finally got full tooth imprints from the pinion and 7 thousandths of backlash, think all is going well, go to put the yoke on and the stupid yoke is for the original 27 spline pinion instead of the new 25 spline pinion. Anywhoooo... looking into that thanks to some help over on the parts wanted. My biggest fear is that the new pinion gear kit is going to require a newer yoke out of something like a 1970ish, but it was my only option to get the higher gear, ya know? I just want to get this bird finished (all done otherwise) so I can sell it. But I wanted to say hi to everyone. From West Virginia. Opening our new auto repair shop in July!
