Here's a pan seal trick to avoid bulging out;
Use a continuous bead of silicone gasket sealer on both sides of the gasket. Install the pan and just barely snug up the bolts. Wait at least 24-48 hours before re-torquing. The seal shouldn't squeaze/bulge out that way.
