My repro remote outside door mirror for my 68 driver´s door looks just the same as this NOS 1968 remote mirror (ebay item number: 290258414135, see link below):
Nevertheless, I was told the repros are not correct because the part of the bracket that points to the rear is peaked whereas they should have an end that looks like being cut off, resulting in an tapered off square end.
Now - what´s correct? Does this NOS mirror differ from mine (except from these 2 small holes at the mirror´s underside) or is it simply not correct for a 68 Bird?
