I have 7 yr old repop hood hinges on my car...2 mo ago one of them broke, lost a 'rivet'...so I have a bolt w nut there... I`ve bought two new re pops to replace with (thinking that if one broke ,the other is next)...and my question is this: Can one replace these one at a time , with some trick, so one does not have to remove the hood to do it? Meaning, I could do it by myself rather than have someone help me to lift the hood off? Anyone done this and have any tricks to do this?
Im thinking that maybe you can open it , tie a rope around the side you remove ,tie it to the garage clg joists? and have a blanket between hood end and windshield?
