The problem with collector car insurance is space. They require the insured car be kept in a garage or storage area. Hagerty even asks what type of structure (wood frame, steel quonset hut, attached garage, etc etc) the car will be kept in. I have to carry regular car insurance on my cammer for that reason.

It looks worse than it seems. Indeed that can be fixed so don't let it get you down, and to the point of parting it out. Don't give up hope yet. Get some professional opinions and assessments first.
