My suggestion, regardless of what has been documented as correct, is to measure for the driveshaft once you are ready for it. Sit the car on the ground so the suspension is settled. Place the trans slip yoke in the tail all the way, then bring it back .75 <make that 3/4 inch>. then measure c-c to the pinion yoke. That should be dead on. Know what u-joint series you are dealing with, but keep in mind there are conversion joints to help you get where you need to be should there be a difference.
