Does anyone know the c-c length of the shaft for th 350 . I have one for the th400 and that one is 1225 mm ( should be 48,22” ) I´m going to replace the th400 with a Th 2004R ( or Th200R4 ) and as I understand the shaft for th350 will fit! Thanks

That answer, .66 inches, came straight out of the factory specifications. It wasn't a guess. Go to the AMA on this site and you will see it. Hint; They call it a propeller shaft.
My suggestion, regardless of what has been documented as correct, is to measure for the driveshaft once you are ready for it. Sit the car on the ground so the suspension is settled. Place the trans slip yoke in the tail all the way, then bring it back .75 <make that 3/4 inch>. then measure c-c to the pinion yoke. That should be dead on. Know what u-joint series you are dealing with, but keep in mind there are conversion joints to help you get where you need to be should there be a difference.
Greg is right, of course. But here's a reliable source too;

I like the higher 4th of the 200 and the fact i didn't have to get a new driveshaft or adapter plate. i wish my speedo gears were as easy to change and I had more choices in governor mods like the 700. Both require crossmember mods. Don't assume the new crossmember will fit perfect to your pontiac with either trans. Maybe it will. Mine didn't.
st300, th350, and 4 spd m/t shaft's are the same length, use the same yokes, and should work.
There are 3 different th400 tail shaft lengths, and the trans yoke is bigger. Short for F bodies. Medium for A bodies(only seen a few). Long for B bodies.
Unless you can find a good ready to go 350 shaft, i would do what Greg suggested. Most places will make a new shaft for about $125-$175. At least thats what it cost me.
Well Thanks. A lot. One question and one day later there’s a whole tread with support and help. I must say it´s fantastic . Thanks
The season is just over and the winter closing in. I think I try to get my hands on a 350 “propeller shaft” just to se how things line up. Its for my wife’s shopping car so I hope the GM 200 4R will stay in one piece!
The reason a asked was that I got a Buick estate wagon shaft that came along with the tranny and I was thinking of just doing a copy, if I know the exact length on a Th350/4 sp shaft

High Perf Pont did a series of articles quite a while back that touched on most everything. It left out a few details, but they would be more vehicle specific anyway. Pontiac Enthusiast is doing a swap to a 700 from a bowtie overdrive packaged kit.
