Vikki I don't know if the 2 wires that go to the alt would be the field wires? They are in a two gang plug that goes to the side of the case, when I ordered the harness from M and H I told them that it was a one wire. I am still trying to get pics of car to down load, Anyway I called Tuff Stuff yesterday and they are sending out a new altnator, should be here Thurs. will let you know what I find out after I hook it up. Sounds like it was a bad out of stock..........Mark
