A lot of people on this forum have used this site and its members as a resource and gone ahead and did what they didn't know. Don't let it scare you. Cars are a combination of very simple machines, there is nothing mysterious or tricky there. Sometimes it helps to have physical assistance, and sometimes it helps to have expert assistance, but just about everything can be a DIY project.
