1) I also had a wallowed out front hole for a lower control arm on the replacement junkyard subframe I found. While the main frame was perfect, the back 4 mounting tabs were also rotted out. The welder that I had repair the frame welded a thick washer over the wallowed hole and it's as good as new.
2) I went a step farther and had my subframe sandblasted and powdercoated. It cost a whole $150.
