I thought I had the dipstick at the right location for the tranny. I thought that the tube ran up and nut held it to a stud coming off the firewall. I was told that it's suppose to bolt to the engine. Because of this the bottom of the tub broke off below the O-ring. So I went to grab the other tube from the convertible to stick in the coupe for the time being, but they are differnt sizes. The tranny in the car now is a 68 P/G and the coupe is a 67 also same as the convertible. So how does it mount? I can't seem to figure out how it fits because I can't turn the tube the correct direction. Please don't tell me that you can't get the tube in with the engine and tranny in place. Also to mention that the first tube I used was longer than the second.
