Sorry, but it's not possible to "shut off the internet". Not with satellite, fiber optic and other technologies available. It wouldn't take long before a whole black market internet came online.

Scare tactics, plain and simple. I don't agree with, endorse, or embrace any of the give-take economic and health plans put forth. But I also don't agree with the low class fear mongering. Once the exaggerated claims are debunked, the real threats don't seem to be so bad. And that's dangerous.
