Would I be able to put a 1977 transam 400 into a 1967 firebird as a direct bolt in? What would I need to use for the engine and frame mounts? I appreciate the help. I know this is not a real desirable engine but I am looking for a running low compression pump gas friendly pontiac v-8 that we can have sound good and be reliable. Were not going for a high dollar high performance pontiac enigne. I am trying to bolt something in to where the engine will bolt up at factory locations so I can have the z-bar pivot in the correct location, along with the shifter coming out in the correct tunnel opening. I may go automatic first and eventually use the muncie trans and hurst shifter/linkage that I have stored away. Any advice is appreciated. Jeff
