Hi I'm new to this site. I have a 69 Firebird that I am trying to restore and ran across something puzzling. I bought the car as a basket case with some parts missing. The pedal assembly for the clutch and brake was one of those parts. The bracket they mount to was still there with the clutch pedal safety switch still attached. I ordered a new set of pedals from Classic Industries but when I tried to install them, they didn't fit. My bracket had a small round hole for a bolt to run through but the pedals had a much larger shaft with a retaining clip. After getting no help from their Tech people, I searched online for pictures of the clutch bracket for 69 Firebirds and Camaros. Mine didn't look like the 69 style. I found GM switched to a different style bracket in 1970 and it looks like the one in my car but mine is date stamped 6-20-69. Could they have switched over sooner than the 70 model? Has anyone else ran across this? Brian
