I have a few questions about where to start on a restoration for my 68 350 convertible. This car was my mother's and she bought the car in the mid 80's from the originally owner it has 82,000 miles. It was painted in the late 80's Autumn Bronze and the paint is starting to fade.
I am replacing the carpet, door panel and re-upholstering the seats this winter.
The car runs fairly well and I have been thinking about converting the drum brake to disc brakes and upgrading to 15" Crager SS wheels (currently have steel wheels with hubcaps). I would like to get the engine repainted, rebuild the carburetor, possible installing headers and a new exhaust, and updating the suspension.
My question is I will be selling my motorcycle in the spring and hopefully I will get around $5,000. Where should I start. The end goal is to have a nice daily driving car.
