I'm in the same boat trying to figure out what to do. If I ever had the intention of selling it I would try and piec the air back together but since I don't I have decided to do one of the options already mentioned.
1. American Graffiti block off plate. I have seen them for F-body on ebay and I belive they are fiberglass.
2. Block off the plate from detroit speed should work fine even if it is a air car, then put a vintage air in at some point.
