The only little hole in my pedal arm is holding the pushrod. In fact the switch is a long way from the pedal until you depress it all the way to the floor to make sure the clutch is disengaged before you can start the car. As I said there are two purple wires running to the switch. One in, one out. The plug slips over two inline spade terminals. I'm sure you could use separate ones if you had to make your own connections. I don't know how the autos work but I'd bet the switch is somewhere on the shifter mechanism.
