I was invited to bring "BIGDADDY" my 69 Bird to a show the caliper of a world of wheels event next March 2011. it's a 3 Day show at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks PA. There are 3 classes, my Car fits the Street car class. I have never had any of my cars entered in an event like this, but understand you get a 10'X20' space to "DISPLAY" your car. And the DISPLAY is judged.
Here's where you all come into play, I need suggestions for a cool, simple display that isn't going to cost me $100.00's of dollars, now here's one thought.
A Rally II wheel at each of the 4 corners. Some kind of mounting pole with a connecting rod attached, or the rod & piston I thought Axles but don't know, then some other type of Stanchions in between on all sides, with Pontiac Logo pennant streamer as my roping around the car. A display board of some kind with my Car's info, maybe grey rubber diamond plate matting under the car, or light turquoise carpet to match the car, and 2.. 24" X 24" Pontiac Crest shaped mirrors one under the front one under the back under the car lying on the carpet. And a 3'X5' black Pontiac Banner with red crest and checkered flag graphics on the sides, lying on the floor in front of the cars wheels.
OK now let me here your ideas, This event will be judged by ISCA Judges. Anyone ever participate in a show like this? What should I expect? What do the look at? At Nationals in Norwalk last year I took first in class, and they spent all of 10 minutes on my car. Here 2 sets of Judges will judge the cars 2 different days or at night when no one is there.
Here's my Car incase some of you haven't seen it before.
