I was putting my 428 in and things went really good until I tried to find the holes to screw the engine mounts to the body. As I set the motor in I found that I was not able to get the motor far enough in toward the fire wall to get the bolts in to secure the engine to the frame mounts. When restoring the car I did pull the front frame off to sand blast. Is my problem likely that my frame is not positioned correctly? If so what is the best way to move the frame forward? I have already bolted the motor to the transmission housing. I also have the front fenders on the car. Ideas? Am I missing something? The frame has not been aligned on the body yet. Was going to send the car to a frame shop for that.
