Haven't found the build sheet yet. The seats were reupholstered in red cloth back in the 80s, so if it was under the seat, it's long gone. Already dropped the tank looking for it as well. Looked in the wheel wells, and kick panels too. Maybe it's under the carpet. That would be great if it were.
I ordered PHS documentation when I bought the car, so tonight I decided to look at it just to see if I could answer my own question, before checking back with everyone here. From what I discovered on the PHS docs, I'm pretty sure I did.
I already knew I had a custom interior from the cowl tag, and the PHS docs (214 Red Knit Vinyl). I just noticed tonight that the PHS doc says STG WHL-TILT code 304. So, I'm guessing STG WHL means standard steering wheel. My thinking wasn't exactly backwards, because I figured it would have been a 3 spoke wheel, since the interior was custom, and all the custom interiors I had seen so far in '69s all had 3 spoke wheels. That's why I was wondering if in fact the 2 spoke wheel was custom, and not standard, because why would someone order a custom interior, with tilt steering and not order a nice 3 spoke steering wheel as well?
Apparently someone must have liked the 2 spoke wheel much better than the 3, because my '69 was ordered with a custom interior, and a standard 2 spoke. This car gets more unique everyday... I'm wondering what else I'll find as the tear down continues.
In the mean time, anyone got a red standard 2 spoke wheel that's not cracked they wanna sell?
