I completely agree with the idea that men these days, I guess younger men specifically do in fact treat women terribly these days. My Daughter for example, 23, been with her bf for 6 years and they have a 2 y/o son. This guy shows absolutely ZERO affection of any kind towards our Daughter, treats her like total crap and then, their lease ends this month on the house they are renting.
My Daughter has been asking him what are they going to do about a place to live etc. Finally, the other day he tells her "I don't know what you and the baby are going to do, but I am moving back home with my parents because taking care of the two of you is just too hard".
Can you beleive this? Our Daughter gave up a very good job, sold her brand new car when they had the baby. She wanted to stay home with the baby for a couple of years. So, she has been watching two additional kids in their home Mon-Fri to bring in some additional income etc. He has a decent job but tells her "paying rent and paying bills doesn't leave enough money for ME to have fun". Unreal!
So, my wife and 12 y/o son just drove up to Buffalo to help our daughter settle into her new apt. etc. She has also since gotten a teaching job at a daycare center where she can take her son as well and put him in another class at the same place she works etc.
Bottom line is this, our Daughter has friends in the basic same situation as she is in with their bf etc. It seems for the most part these younger guys just don't have the respect for women in general. I now hope our daughter can find someone to treat her decent as she deserves it. She is a fantastic mother, a hard worker, caring, loving etc. I just hope she can find a good guy this time around so I can quit worrying about her as I have enough to worry about down here with our house situation etc.
