I cleaned/polished my lenses and repainted the interior reflectors on the tail light assemblies. With good bulbs, they are bright and easily visible during the day. I had done the same on our Bird. They were plenty bright. I would have to guess that even if I would have had the LED in my Bird the "undocumented visitor" would still have hit me. If she didn't see the Sheriff or his car in the middle of the road having LEDs wouldn't have made a difference...
