Need some help please? I am working on a freinds 69 400. The engine was a 400 2bl. It has a holley 750 vac secondary on an edelbrock performer. It is running full msd ignition, billet distributor with vac advance. Started out with 16 degree base and had to back it to 13 (can disconected). I am running the 21 degree bushing with 34 degree's total mechanical all in by 4,000 rpm. The engine has 150lb compression +or- 4 lb across the board. When we fixed the intake vacuum leak I pulled the pan to peek inside, cam looked good. It seems as it has a nearly stock cam with 20 inches of vacuum at idle. It idles smoothly runs well, but has no guts 0 none? We flipped off the guy on the unicyle that passed us! It's a 256 open rear end with turbo 350. Shifts twice every time. It will not even spin the tire? He has had the car 20 years never had any guts. Might try my carb on it next. Timing in earlier? sorry for the long post.
