-1969 Firebird Convertible. (check) -clear title (check) -400 (do you want it to be an original Firebird-400 per PHS?, or is it ok to once be a 350 that was converted to a 400?; does it have to have the original 400 engine, or is non original 400 ok? -condition between a basket case and a show car... ? Thats quite a swing. Basket case could mean a junk yard car with no drivetrain that needs a complete rebuild. Basket case could mean all the parts are there, but you need to put it together. No major issues.. meaning engine, trans, brakes, ? Show car could mean Barret Jackson, or, it could mean a 20 footer car at the local car show. Do you mean... running, driving car, turn key and go, no problems? -No rust allowed... that automatically means an original west coast car, a car fully restored, an original survivor or a show car. -Colors... are you talking the original color, or the current color? So primer grey is not acceptable if all it needs is a final paint job? -Transmission.. automatic or stick?
And of course, do you want it to local to you or are you willing to ship/transport?
Finally, what price are you talking about? Prices can range greatly from the 5-6K local car that needs lots of work to the show cars in the 20K-40K, or higher if Barrett Jackson quality.
I only ask all these questions because there are a lot of cars out there, and the more you narrow it down, the easier it is to find it. If youre after a car that needs nothing, runs, drives, fully restored/original, no rust, 69 400 vert, be prepared to pay a lot more.
