Depends on the diameter. Sometimes a larger diameter will allow more backspacing because you'll clear certain suspension components. That way you can maximize filling the wheel well.

Also depends on the type of suspension bushings used. Rubber deflects the most, polyurethane not as much, and solid obviously the least. If you're using something that allows some side to side deflection (rubber or poly) you need to keep that into account.
