The car is in storage waiting to get a new convertible top. Once I pull it out, I'll take the above suggestions and see if I can sort it out. The waterpump was changed from a 67 to a 69 though I don't know if that has an effect on the timing mark. I did buy a new timing light so I can try bringing 1 to TDC and scribing a mark. Don't know about accuracy though.
