Reduced paint should last as long as unreduced paint, as long as no catalyst is used. I prefer to buy empty paint cans from home depot, always keep a few on hand. Once I close it I put a bead of masking tape and fold it over the top of the can for a better seal. Make sure to write rts ready to spray on the lid. Canning jars have a rubber seal that will deteriorate and contaminate the paint.
