I glued the rear cork oil pan seal to the block/cap last night, and put the oil pan on it to hold it down over night. Today when I removed the pan to put the rest of the gasket on, I noticed that there must have been some oil in the pan because the gasket had oil on a section of it. It is not soaked with oil, but does appear to have soaked some up into the gasket.
My question is when I glue the pan to the gasket/block, will the Permatex Ultra Grey I'm using stick to the section of the gasket that has some oil soaked into it? Do I need to replace the gasket and start over?
