Hi guys. I do believe this is my first of what will undoubtedly be a parade of stupid questions in the weeks/months ahead.
I'm trying to remove the carpet to see how the floor pans are shaping up. I have the seats out (whoo!), seat belts, and whatnot, but am scratching my aging head trying to figure out how to remove the center console.
The 3-speed auto shift lever looks like a one-piece jobber. I can't seem to just "unscrew" the top like, say, a manual shift handle. Clearly this shifter needs to move before I can lift the console up and over it.
Anybody have any wisdom? And I'm glad to hear an answer like, "get yourself the blah-blah-blah book or manual" but I just don't know what that is yet.
I hope I ask smarter questions soon.
Thanks in advance.
