Alright, here is my dilemma. I have now bought 2 different water pumps and both have the same problem. My motor is a 69 400 that was orignally equipped witht the short style water pump (4" hub). Both of the pumps I have bought, a flowcooler and a stock replacement, are both the long style pump (4.5" hub) which cause the pulleys to not align because the waterpump pulley is a half inch too far out. I thought when I returned the performance pump and bought the stock style that I would fix this problem. How should I fix this problem. Should I find a longer crankshaft pulley or machine a spacer? Please help, and sorry for the length.
