Original Firebird T-400 diptubes are difficult to find, and usually cracked around the o-ring groove. A cheap alternative is to use a standard aftermarket T-400 diptube. Preferably one with the boot seal, not the o-ring. Takes a little bending to get it to fit. I had to take off the tube bracket and weld it in a new place so it would bolt to a bell housing bolt. The end result is much more satisfying than a stock tube. It doesnt have the crazy bend at the transmission making it easier to remove the dipstick. And the cooling lines are easier to access. Just talk to me about removing a stock diptube with trans and engine in the car......
