I have a dedicated cable line for my modem and router. Signal strength excellent. I have another cable line for 2 tv's and another line for a single TV. My laptop has been running painfully slow as of late and now TV #1 with box pixilates, freezes, loses sound, HD signal etc, while TV #2 on same split line is fine. This issue is particularly bad whenever I am surfing the internet...no downloading, just surfing. Again the computer on a dedicated line, split at box outside. And TV #2 unaffected by websurfing (no pixilation, loss of signal)
I run a program called ShaperProbe to see what signal levels are...and I get
DiffProbe beta release. October 2009. Build 1002. Shaper Detection Module.
The measurement will take upto 2.5 minutes. Please wait.
Checking for traffic shapers:
Upstream: No shaper detected. Median received rate: 2725 Kbps.
Downstream: Measurement aborted due to high packet loss rate.
I contact Comcast...For like the umpteenth time in 3 years. This issue comes and goes. It is particularly bad when I am on my laptop. I have rebooted the box, have had a signal sent while online with Comcast, still the same problem. So I unplug cable box on TV #2 which is fine to swap it out with TV #1 and decide not to swap....now my problem is gone, no TV issues, internet is lightnig fast again...I did not reboot modem/router.
What gives?
Me pulling my har...if I had some...
