I did mine according to the FAQ four yrs ago. I recall the FAQ being a little grey at some point but reading between the lines it all worked and as Joe said, two hours at most. Oil and temp sender +\- $25

The reference to connecting the ammeter to the jb is wrong. I connected to horn relay and green regulator wire to get the potential difference.
