The 68 I picked up in June had a Holley 750 on it. It was wasted and now I have to replace it. The car has an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, and I'm going to go with an Edelbrock carb. I just can't figure out which one.
First, my car. 400 ci, bored 30x, Performer RPM intake, Crower Baja Beast II cam, stock headers, automatic, 1:256 gear ratio. I would prefer efficiency over squeezing every bit of performance out (I'm not racing this thing).
So my choices are the Edelbrock Performer 750 (manual choke, as for some reason they advise against the electric choke when you have a Performer RPM intake) or the Thunder AVS 650. The only difference seems to be the secondary adjustments on the Thunder series. A guy from the tech line at Edelbrock recommended the Thunder series...I don't know though. Any one with opinions?
