It was certainly long enough, but I don't remember the one I used having a heat sink on it, but it seemed to fit just fine. I leave the push buttons pulled out and it looks good. I don't actually use it for sound. I'm not sure exactly what car it came out of, the service tag decoded to a '70 midsize.
