Not against gun ownership only against people who think they can be Clint Eastwood without constant training.. Remember a bad guy doesn't have to be accountable for his shots, but you do. I carry a gun for a living..... You have no idea of what it feels like to have to make a judgement in seconds that can cost you or people around you everything.
Earlybird..... Try having the feeling of shooting someone, after you made a wrong decision. A co-worker of mine was killed by a cop who thought he was a bad guy. Another lost his son, because he got involved in a shootout at a McDonalds with a robber when a stray round hit his son in the head because the boy stopped at the door to watch his dad.
I'm just saying it's not always as easy as pulling the trigger. The hard sets part isn't the shooting skills, its all the decision made in those seconds before you pull the trigger and I know the majority of civilians don't have the training or the proper decision making skills to warrant carrying firearms in order to respond to these types of situations.
