Guns are only part of the problem but at least establish a limit to what a person can own.

People would not risk their life robbing and killing innocent people if they had something to lose.

More officers, and jails are not going to eliminate or reduce your major crime issues.

Start imprisoning the well to do "users" of drugs. The rich have something to lose! Kill demand and drug lords will die!
But I guess there is more money made in the USA hiring more law enforcement, building jails, drug trafficking, selling guns to protect us.
The ongoing march of oppressive regulation, whether it is infringing on Americans' 2nd Amendment right to bear arms or any of our rights granted in the Constitution are like a long thin wedge of tyranny that is being deliberately, slowly, and continually being driven into the liberties.
This nation guarantees "equal opportunity" but not equal outcome.
