It seems to me that the switch can be turned 180 degrees in the mounting bracket (that mounts it to the steering column) to change it from push to pull. I know that I modified my existing switch to work with a tilt column. The only differance in the two is that one gets pushed with the rod from the key and the other gets pulled.
